Friday 12th September 2014, Junior Turner will release his dance remix track; “Better Day” featuring Jess Wood on vocals, and remixed by DJ Davy D. Turner has released a host of hit, pop-orientated singles and albums into the international indie music circuit over the last few years. Junior Turner has performed with some of the best musicians in the industry as well as scooping up numerous awards along the way. Not least the ‘Best Pop Song’ award received at the prestigious awards ceremony for ‘The Indie Music Channel’, In April this year.
As far as male pop singers go, they don’t come much more talented than Junior Turner. He knows how to create a good pop song, and that’s just what he’s done again. It is different to his last offering, the smooth, passionate, and soulful “Tonight’s The Night”, which itself was also a great single.
This time, Turner focuses on up-tempo material. Labeled as ‘dance’, the track finds Junior Turner right on form. More mature, his honest and heart felt lyrics find a new depth, (Yes even on a dance-orientated track, his usual tongue in cheek honesty creeps through). Musically, “Better Day (DJ DavyD Disco Remix)” is different enough to be interesting but still a real Turner classic! A good collaboration with DJ Davy D has produced a brilliant single.
I think it’s very admirable that he is really trying to expand and grow and isn’t attempting to continually pander to the same adult-orientated pop crowd. Junior Turner is such an incredible talent that if you don’t care for one of his songs, just wait for the next release, because it will have a whole new sound!
Junior Turner delivers, great tunes, beautiful, melodic and gorgeously sung. All his songs are different and never boring. He always has something for everyone; be it rock, pop, soul and now dance. You name it, Turner does it. Unique and unexpected are the perfectly right words to express my feelings about “Better Day (DJ DavyD Disco Remix)”. The melody and thumping beat will definitely keep your spirits raised until Turner’s next release.
All Junior Turner fans – don’t hesitate, those still to be converted – go buy and try – eventually Junior Turner will be recognized worldwide for what he truly is – a brilliant songwriter and a talented and inspired performer.
