By now just about everybody knows Jon Lajoie a Canadian comedian, actor, rapper, singer, musician and Internet celebrity from Montreal. He gained fame mostly from his YouTube channel, “jonlajoie,” posting comedic original songs and skits. Youtube is pretty saturated with guys digging into this ‘funny video’ genre and collecting massive view counts.
One of these bright and bold video and song-makers is none other than Nick Satt, who had the smart idea of taking the crap out of Jon Lajoie himself, by releasing a parody of Jon’s song entitled, “Every Day Normal Guy”. Satt entitled his own version, “Lazy Guy” for iTunes, and “Broke Rapper ( Nick Satt the lazy guy)” for Youtube.
“Lazy Guy” brings a round of witty, explicit and ingeniously obnoxious writing by Nick Satt. The sheer act of keeping the rhyme scheme in line with the rhythm, and holding steadfast to the rebranded topic of the song, shows off Satt at his absolute best. The lazy guy theme is a much loved one by a large variety of people…for pretty obvious reasons. Few could have written or performed this track lethargically better than Satt.
Nick Satt has also proven himself to be quite versatile over the years, able to tackle almost any type of song and not only master it, but tweak it to make it all the more hilarious. He seems to have the pulse on the popular music culture and makes gut-busting parodies of the songs and artists which stand out.
“Lazy Guy” is a double treat as it is a parody of an artist who does skits and comedy sketches himself. Obviously this type of song works even better with the aid of visual material. So you’ll find Satt’s video on Youtube too.
Nick Satt is at the peak of his deranging verbal powers on “Lazy Guy”; it is as good as parody songs get. What more can be said? Satt seals his reputation as a comedy, music, and lyrical talent. It’s all clever and funny. Give it a shot!
