[twitter style=”vertical” float=”left”] [fbshare type=”button”] [google_plusone size=”standard” annotation=”none” language=”English (UK)”] After much deliberation and careful scrutiny, our team has finally chosen the outright winners of the 2011 Jamsphere Indie Music Awards. Firstly we’d like to congratulate all nominees and finalists for having created all the superb music and videos that have featured on our pages during the year 2011. Without all the top level indie music acts, Jamsphere would have no reason to exist, and certainly would not have all the success it is having. So keep the good music coming and we’ll keep getting behind you.
Indie Video Of The Year 2011 goes to Anna Johnson’s “Damaged And Bruised”.
Runners-Up: Future Ghosts and Oh No Fiasco
Simply and beautifully shot, the video emanates the delicate grieving sadness of the music and lyrics, while Anna’s visual interpretation of the principle character is absolutely convincing. She is both stunningly beautiful and extremely expressive. The sheer soul bearing honesty of her music comes shining through thanks to Justin McGrath of Higher Concept Media (www.higherconceptmedia.com) who produced the video to this song.

Indie Song Of The Year 2011 goes to Therina Bella’s “Waking Up”
Runners-Up: Revolving One and The Whalers
Multi-instrumentalist, eccentric, explosive and the “dark lady” of indie rock, Therina Bella powers her way through the incessant beat of thrashing guitars and sweeping strings on her doomsday dream of “Waking up”. Her vocals cut like a knife through the layered back-beat provided by “The Terrible Girls”, who are really three boys, that form her ass-kicking backing band. Ted Maniatakos on bass, Daniel Bradley on drums and Jonathan Burk on synths. “Waking Up” is epic, modern indie rock, served on a golden platter.
