Sean Dampte: “Alignment (Only You)” ft. Rayce brings Hip-hop and Afro-Pop Flavors To The Table!

Sean Dampte is, the name of African-born, UK based artist formerly just known as Dampte. The eldest son of 5 kids born to an Evangelist mother and Pastor Father; Sean Dampte finished his High School Education in Lagos, Nigeria and graduated at Bellevue University where he earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Information Systems with an emphasis in Business. Dampte started off in the choir as a child.

He discovered and honed his innate talent for rhymes, word play, metaphors and his ability to weave those words into songs. His first real taste of music was at a very tender age listening to the likes of King Sunny Ade (KSA), Ebenezer Obey, and other Nigerian musical heavy weights.

Additionally he has been influenced by the likes of other internationally known stars such as Jay Z, R. Kelly, LL Cool J, Jadakiss, Rick Ross, Styles P, Warren G, Snoop Dogg, Treach (Naughty by Nature), 2Pac, Biggie Smalls, Wale, K’naan and a host of others.

That said, Sean Dampte follows his own path musically blending in rap with African undertones making his music uniquely his own. And this unique blend can be clearly gauged on his track “Alignment (Only You)” ft. Rayce. Sean Dampte track is a much needed shot in the arm of a music medium that is stale and lacks any kind of knew creativity.

“Alignment (Only You)” ft. Rayce, is simply a spectacular song that gives off positive energy with an incredible beat. If you’re familiar with the Dancehall rhythms and energy, you’ll be right inside the Sean Dampte musical orbit.

Sean Dampte is a very good lyricist and has an uncanny ability to accompany the lyrics with just the right melody. The track is very well produced, but not overly produced like so many recent rap and hip hop releases. Resulting in music that is just plain fun to kick back and chill to. His delivery is as smooth as butter, a real treat.

It is hard not to be excited about a hip hop performer that brings AfroPop and Dancehall-styled rhythms to the table. Sean Dampte has all the tools. It is also encouraging to see a talented man take the positive road with his music, celebrating the positive side of humanity; of course he also brings raunchiness and materialism to the table, traits that naturally pervade so much of contemporary hip hop and rap music.

If you like Hip hop, Afro Pop, and Dancehall, or just anything able to get your body moving, then you certainly need to check out Sean Dampte. He is a very talented artist with a lot to say. His music is magic and making waves right now!
