Pietro Di Bello is an Italian singer-songwriter, 22 years old, who performs acoustic pop and roots orientated music. Pietro was born in Vallo Della Lucania and raised on the beautiful coast of Palinuro in Southern Italy. He considers the lyrics of his songs as very important to him, in that he communicates his thoughts and life’s philosophies through them. Pietro says he is inspired by the music of legends such as the Beatles, Pink Floyd and Bob Dylan. His goal, he claims, is to transmit deep feelings, able to help people to get in touch with themselves, through simple music.
Pietro Di Bello’s singles include “Question Marked Innocence”, “I Don’t Mind”, “The Rest of My Days” and his new hit single “You Are What You Are”. The sound of his music is basically a good-looking Italian man with a guitar singing songs of extreme melancholy but with immense passion and dedication.
“I Don’t Mind” is a delicately slow song, with just a guitar and some backing vocals. Di Bello crafts a beautiful and introspective melody around this sparse arrangement. He sings with passionate yearning; when his voice cracks over the gentle guitar, you feel everything he is feeling.
“Question Marked Innocence” is a gorgeous and catchier number than the previous one, with a remarkably hypnotic harmony supplied by the sultry female voice of Debora Fucciolo. Di Bello’s vocals and soft guitar-playing warms your heart as you find yourself in familiar territory with this tune.

Throughout the songs I heard, it becomes clear that Di Bello relies on the power of understatement to convey strong emotion. His songs are quietly, evocatively, insidiously magical and wondrous. Obviously he hasn’t yet changed the world, nor is able to walk on water. These are very early days yet, and Di Bello still has to perfect his diction, and complete a few more professional recordings and error-free productions before we can deliver consummate judgments on his craft.
In the meantime his music connects immediately and seduces effortlessly, engaging you with the joys and pitfalls of everyday love and life. Pietro Di Bello’s songs are languidly beautiful, achingly emotional, endlessly rewarding. Another note of importance is the fact that Di Bello is conceding 50% of the sales on “Question Marked Innocence” to the WORLD VISION charity organization.
Pietro Di Bello’s voice is very sincere and shows hints of his Italian accent. His songs are filled with unbelievably moving lyrics and clean acoustic guitar work, while his vocals are perfectly complimented by that of Debora Fucciolo .
Pietro Di Bello’s sound is raw and downplayed, slow and passionate…let’s see where he goes next!
