Mel Sound is a dance music producer who lives in Washington D.C.  Her dance single “Can you Feel” is slated for release on January 6, 2015 through all major music outlets. She was not what I expected but as soon as I started listening to her track she’s become a fixture in my personal list of artists to be on the lookout for.

“Can you Feel” is deep and lush, making you move as well as putting you in a bit of a thoughtful trance. Its warm notes, nice chord progressions and deep rolling bass lines are the key to this passionate work. This is not just another house music track, but a sophisticated dance track with plenty of bounce to keep you moving pretty much the whole way through.

I personally don’t like the repetitive boom*tich-boom*tich type of house music that goes on forever. Mel Sound does a great job of varying the song’s style with a funky beat and introducing selective vocal interludes along the way.

Mel Sound’s influences here are multiple, and all of them are beautifully employed and transcended as she adds her own personal elements. This is a welcomed addition to my music library. For me it really ramps up the vibe: It comes out hitting, giving you a tiny break in the middle and then knocks you out at the end.

The song creates a club atmosphere that is incredibly hard to duplicate. You can feel the energy pulsing when the first notes start but as soon as it gets going the room begins to move in unison. The tone, energy and overall quality of this track is exactly what you should expect from a very capable producer.

mel-sound-400Without a doubt, with her new single, “Can you Feel”, Mel Sound has created an irresistibly catchy dance tune.
