“I heard my first Eminem song when I was pretty young, and I didn’t really care much for it. After a while I eventually started listening to more Eminem and rap instead of rock. When I was about ten, I figured out that my dream was to be a rapper, and I started just freestyling to beats just to work on my skills, and then I started writing. Now I write almost every day.” ~ Kid Dream.
Kid Dream has a unique and different sound in hip hop, which distinguishes him from others. He has a laid back sound that I really enjoy. After the first couple of play throughs of his collection of tracks, the songs started to grow on me. They are all so catchy and comfortable you’ll probably find yourself rapping to the songs after you listen a few times.
Like all white rappers who make any noise in the music industry, Kid Dream will eventually get asked about and compared to Eminem all the time. Right now his just a kid having fun with music. He doesn’t have a ton of fame and riches yet, so you will find his lyrics to be down to earth. He finds plenty of other things to talk about though, things that we can relate to. While he keeps his flow simple and laid-back.
It is clear that Kid Dream is just at the beginning of his journey and will be evolving his rap techniques and songwriting as well as creating an original set of beats, to truly set him apart from the rest. So of course his catalog is not perfect and it has a few filler tracks just like many of the other rap music artists; but Kid Dream has quite a different style to anyone else, and that’s why you can listen to him for a long while on end.

In his case he does not have the luxury of super-producers, so he has to find producers who cater to his style. In fact his tracks have some good production that fit his style throughout. Some of the hooks could be polished a little more, if you’re really looking for a needle in a haystack, but overall you will not be disappointed with this kid’s talent.
I particularly liked the first 3 tracks in his catalog, namely: “Lost Ones Remix”, “I’m Here”, “The Morning Remix”, as I think Kid Dream delivers the slower tracks with great style and pace. However he has a variety of 52 songs to choose from, so you’ll probably find something that you like better!
Kid Dream’s works are all naturally composed of lyrical versatility, broad range, and diverse music. His songs are complete with smart, witty lyricism and tight beats, which could make him become a rapper of consequence if he keeps up and improves on his level of writing, production and storytelling.
But hey, he is just starting out with a bright ass future ahead of him!
