Kary Sit: “Welcome to My Fantasy” – sexy and glam, danceable music with an alternative edge!

A fourth generation Eurasian, Kary Sit started her music career at a young age. While studying art and music, she worked at one of the most influential studios in California directly connected to Dr. Dre’s Aftermath studio. Working as a ghost producer, Kary finished multiple music projects for major recording artists Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, JoJo, Snoop Dogg, as well as TV broadcasters Disney Channel and Warner Bros.

kary-sit-300Today, Kary owns a production/publishing company with over 50 American A-List musicians working with Katy Perry, Omarion, Usher, Nelly, and numerous Kpop and Jpop artists. Kary has also worked with uncountable Grammys awarding producers, such as Ryan Bowser, Native Wayne Jobson, Frankie Biggz, Ted Greenberg, Bradley Spalter, just to name a few.

Kary Sit became a recording artist after releasing her debut single and music video “Distaste” in the US. She then created a huge fanbase in Japan following her tour there in 2012. Kary has appeared in major newspapers, magazines and TV shows to nationwide radio stations and TV billboard screens in Japan, as well as US magazines and blogs. Kary also had her own 30 minute live show on the Ameba TV channel.

Kary’s videos have often compared to those of Lady Gaga and Rihanna, notwithstanding the fact that she produces them at only a fraction of the multi-million budgets associated with those artists. In late 2014, Kary released her long anticipated EP “Welcome to My Fantasy”.

kary-sit-200Kary Sit has surprisingly put a fresh spin into current electo-pop music. You can obviously see her pulling inspiration from the likes of Gaga, Kylie and Madonna. She has an amazing way of putting a new twist on things that have already been done in the music world. The Ep is a very theatrical piece of work. Many of the songs have a dark 80s synthesizer feel to them, but the lyrics are able to transport us to much happier places.

“Asylum” is non-stop dance track that is sure to get any party going. “Sexy Me” and “Superdoll” showcases Kary satisfying our sexual appetites with tongue-in-cheek lyrics and thick beats. She also offers up a slower side with “Merry Go Round”. “Welcome to My Fantasy” is able to come across as a very enjoyable electro-pop record, while Kary oozes sex appeal all across the tracks.

“Welcome to My Fantasy” breaks new ground in fun catchy danceable music with an alternative edge. It is wonderfully schizophrenic in sound. One moment it sounds clubby, the next moment, its new wave, and then pop, while Kary makes it all gel into one electro urban dance sound. It’s heaven for anyone who likes today’s pop, glam and electro-dance music

kary-sit-300bThis lady has the potential to get where she’s going. There are many indie artists who deserve our attention, and here we have an artist who is refreshingly clever with her style and decidedly passionate about her craft. Her songs are sexy, upbeat, totally original, and inspiring for her genre.

Kary Sit knows a good tune when she sings one, but she also knows that titillation is just as captivating as the best hook, so a touch of naughty is as infallible as the best chorus line in her songs. She uses both to perfection, but “Welcome to My Fantasy” holds its own musically, even after repeat listens.

If somehow, you have never heard of Kary Sit, this Ep is a stunning introduction to a sparking ‘new’ female personality in the musical universe. There are many good tunes on “Welcome to My Fantasy” and you will never tire of Kary Sit’s eclectic, energetic and rhythmic approach to music!
