From a young boy HidNTrackz always had a passion for music. It started listening to his mother playing Prince, while his father was looking for his Earth, Wind, & Fire records. HidNTrackz excelled in sports and academics early on. It wasn’t until later on in life that he realized his talent for music. After hearing one his friends being featured on a late night Hip Hop Freestyle show on college radio (UA), something clicked in him to where he thought: “Hey maybe I can do this?”
“I feel like I got a lot to offer to the game”, says HidNTrackz. “You know when you got that song and at the end there’s that hidden track. Well, that song may end up being better than the song that’s featured!” It’s this type of mentality that has pushed HidNTrackz to become the artist that he is. Combining a hard work ethic and a street smart business savvy, HidNTrackz has arrived full force and looking to take no prisoners.
HidNTrackz has now dropped his EP, “The Misconceptions of Me”. The project is 10 years in the making and the songs cover different points in his life, as HidNTrackz himself says: “They are all intimate to me and have significant meanings.” HidNTrackz has one thing that many rappers these days lack, and that is substance; while most other rappers rhyme about girls, money and sex. HidNTrackz raps about deep essential things such as life, love and knowledge.
On “Love Affair” he talks about how we sometimes become so wrapped up into pursuing our passion – whether that be work or a simple pastime – that our loved ones often feel as if we are cheating on them. “Blown Away” is the classic, transcendental infatuation syndrome, when a man gets swept away by a night club stripper and loses all his logical senses.

But if its mainstream catchiness that attracts your attention, don’t miss up on “Yesterday” and “I Want You”. Throughout the Ep HidNTrackz manages to vividly recreate his world of love and life, into one tidy bundle of rhymes, an incredible vocabulary and a deeply analytical intellect. His unique flow calls for nothing more than admiration and respect no doubt.
“The Misconceptions of Me” blazes, sparkles and shimmers with intimate tales and is a perfect introduction to the talent HidNTrackz displays. Many years in the pipeline, each track also shows the evolution of style, form, production and certainly of wisdom that HidNTrackz is capable of.
“The Misconceptions of Me” plays like a short movie with some great narratives and is responsible for creating those personal themes that gives the songs their credibility and ‘realness’ that most Hiphop artist are in desperate search of! Moreover each song is wrapped up in intelligent, crisp, and concrete beats.
HidNTrackz certainly proves himself as not only a rhymer, but a deep thinker!
