Ced Wynez: “The Rebellion” – committed and thought-provoking!

Raised in Miami and resident in Atlanta, Ced Wynez kicked his career off in 2005 with a Triton LE and Cubase software. He grew up on to Dr. Dre, Biggie, Pac, Out Kast, Goodie Mob, Trick Daddy Luke and 2 Live Crew (Pop that Pussy was his favorite song).

Ced Wynez’s latest release is the 12-track album, “The Rebellion”. Wynez knows how to throw down and cut to the chase. A quick 34 second intro, then its straight into a rugged song “Nat Turner’s Back”, which has a backbreaking beat with its thumping bass and piano excursions, basically telling you exactly who Ced Wynez is. And Wynez keeps up this rugged style throughout the album.

Ced-Wynez-coverCed Wynez spits explicit lyrics on King Jaffe Joffer, but it’s one of those tunes where the production, layout and chorus are so perfect, that you care not about the explicit content in his words. This dude can flow relentlessly over those bouncy beats. He can get hardcore and hot headed in tracks like Pressure ft. Pollock Da King & Blvk Out and We Live. He can get raunchy too, but no matter what, his delivery is meticulous. Personal standouts include, Pray, Aint Suppose To Cry, He Against Me (Prod. iLLMind) and No Time.

Ced Wynez really did his thing on this album, the production is outstanding, and the lyrics are socially committed and thought-provoking. Every single song is tight, from the intro to the very last track. Wynez also has an instantly recognizable voice and he has tons of punchlines with great hooks in his songs. His rapping comes out crisp, fast and clean.

Once again, the ATL area produces another hot voice bringing a new flavor into the game; an original emcee that’s both charismatic and energetic. Lyrically Ced Wynez does not leave anything to the imagination, spitting it out from the gut. He has real talent and skill that you’ll notice from the explosive intro through to the end.

The “The Rebellion” album is absolutely excellent. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, it does. Ced Wynez has taken it to the next level, delivering songs with infectious grooves along with hardcore rhymes.

This album shows Ced Wynez’s maturity as an artist. The man is an accomplished lyricist and he’s entertaining beyond most rap artist’s, period. He understands the meaning of show business, but he also understands that albums can stand on their own as important concepts and therefore should be powerful, lyrically. Exactly what he has done with “The Rebellion”!
