2TALLIN’ was started by Travis Huff (6’8) after discovering his passion for producing and performing music that was different. Why 2TALLIN’? “The name was developed from my unmistakable height,” say Travis. “People always are saying you’re so tall?? Do you play in the NBA? So therefore….2TALLIN’ captures my most recognizable asset. My on-going goal is to take money profited from our music and give it directly back to empower future generations of musicians with instruments, recording time, songwriting, and promoting their music.” 2TALLIN’ has been licensed into ABC Television, QuickSilver, Akami, and Billabong. Currently they’re working with agencies (Playup Music, ADM) to license their music.
“Loco Boy” feat. 2Kan & Reapa and “Baby Girl” feat. Travis Miller, shows that 2TALLIN‘s got the art and the talent to create good, awesome music. If you want good beats, lyrics and vocals, this is the sound to get. 2TALLIN‘s energy is contagious, and shines through on every track, combining various electronica, dance, rock and hiphop elements into their creations. Another one of the amazing things is how they can be so humorous and lighthearted in one song and so inspirational and deep in the next.

I often lose interest in rap because the genre has become so drowned in repetitive, self-indulgent chorus garbage. I usually end up listening to tracks from the 90’s rather than what’s available today. Here it’s nice to hear something new, fresh, and something that still retains a good amount of classic old school vibes, while staying catchy, and adventurous.
Listening to “Loco Boy,” I searched and found the music video on Youtube and after have played it through a couple of times. I then decided to branch out and see what else 2TALLIN’ offered. I was expecting more of the same: somewhere between LMFAO and Eminem, funny but still solid hip hop. And then I found “Murdering Hearts.” It’s well crafted; it’s powerful; it builds on the love theme and creates much a deeper and hypnotic musical atmosphere, than I would have expected from a dude in a white coat and funny shades.
It is obvious through the subjects of the songs, that 2TALLIN’ are intelligent and seasoned. But at the same time they fuel their music through their passion for subcultures, pop culture, take-offs, and the intoxicating power of wordplay. Throughout their video performances, you can see they have a great chemistry and work very well together. They are so confident and playful it’s impossible not to have as good a time as they’re having!
Overall, if you’re taking a pass on 2TALLIN’, you are missing out on an essential piece of adventurous good-time hip-hop, no matter how you slice it.
