“Stop” is another step in King’s ever-evolving career

King is an independent rap artist located in Buffalo, NY. The multi-talented artist has released the official Mixtape, “King”, receiving over 10,000 views on a multitude of websites, and then followed that up with his sophomore project “King 2.0.” which showcased a host of producers and some featured artists, across its 22 tracks.

Now King releases another jam in anticipation of his upcoming project “90s Baby”, due 4/5/15. “Stop” is another step in King’s ever-evolving career. The track is a slowburner but it is cracking, proving that the King is back on top, exactly where he finished off with his previous release!

king-stop-300“Stop” shows that King is becoming a figure in the game and will be for a while.  His ability to use clever metaphors and custom street slang help make his tracks very appealing. Here he delivers an amazing jam with originality and truly impresses with his back beat.

King keeps it to the raw essence of rap, bringing the best of himself for this one, just as he has done before with his two previous releases. He is one of those rare rappers that has it all: lyricism and charisma.

“Stop” is cool, laidback and relaxed – a clear sign of a matured rapper. It is just one of those songs that comes along every once in a while and completely changes your whole perspective. It is not groundbreaking or wildly creative; it just glows with emotion and moves the listener – indispensable qualities in music.

This is the King that I expect to hear all the time. The one that will continue to shine, with or without the haters – a subject he tackles with assured verve in “Stop”. If you ever get the chance, pick this up while you await the release of “90s Baby” due out 4/5/15.
