Mahyar Kavoosi’s passion for music was sparked at the age of 12 when he began playing Classical piano while music was banned by the government in Iran. He further fulfilled his musical fervor by learning guitar and singing. Additionally Kavoosi’s interests include composing, arranging, mixing, and mastering music.
Despite the government’s limitation and overbearing stance relating to music, Kavoosi was determined enough to pursue his passion for music and finally received government permission to publish his music, making him the first member of the religious minorities, able to produce and publish 2 official music Albums.
Finally leaving his country of origin, where he faced continual discrimination and limitations, and then arriving in the US by himself -a complete stranger to the culture and language -has only made Mahyar Kavoosi stronger and more dedicated to achieving his educational and musical goals.
“KHABARI AZ TO NASHO” is a Pop-Rock Persian-language song by Mahyar Kavoosi . It is about a lover who has been waiting for his love for a long time. The theme is very romantic yet also sad. Kavoosi and his team spent 2 years on producing the music and video for the song.
Mahyar Kavoosi will make you believe in purely pop music again, even though you can’t understand one single word. To listen to his talent is a blessing to the ears and your soul. Single-handedly he reinvigorates the hope of artists actually being able to sing without all the studio gadgetry and gimmicks.
This is not to say the production on “KHABARI AZ TO NASHO” lacks anything at all. On the contrary it is a solidly produced single, rich in layered sounds and tone. It’s just that it is all put forward to enhance the song, its storyline and all-round sonic atmosphere, not to impress the listener regardless.
Mahyar Kavoosi is well worth the hype and then some. This is a beautiful single and you can feel every note that he sings from his heart. This is one song that you can put on repeat and listen to all day long. To complete the experience, the song is supported by an equally good video of extremely high quality.
