“I Like It” by Blazay ft. Daria – a unique take on house music, infused with exotic Bajan and Eastern European roots

The beat is killer, the sensual lyrics are fire, you’ll want to get up and dance, or, if you’re lying down you will wiggle. “I Like It” by Blazay ft. Daria, is simply one of the best kick starting tracks on the market. If you like electro-house then you need this track. Blazay defines the genre or perhaps re-defines it. Blazay Songwriter, Producer and Creator, Kevin, takes the best of what’s new and gives it that that old-school twist, which means plenty of groove and melody.

blazey-350The singing on the song is great too, and especially when singer Daria lets the melody peak at the words “so touch me here…” the power is indescribable. It makes sense that “I Like It” should be a big hit. The track follows Blazay’s characteristic approach to modern electronic music, yet on the other hand however, “I Like It” is anything but another modern electronic, synthetic track that blends in with the hundreds produced by DJ’s every year.  This London-based Dance group has a unique take on house music, infusing it with exotic Bajan and Eastern European roots which make the sound distinctive.

Although the use of computers and synthetic beats is prominent, Blazay offers very modern, edgy, and original sounds. Besides using polyrhythms and vocal effects that help to distinguish their music from the masses, Blazay exceeds with its pumping basslines.  The production of this track is on its own level and is way above most other current EDM artists. But the depth you find in Blazay’s basslines is something only an incredible producer with a built- in groove can create.

This is an electronic track that will stand the test of time and will be looked back at as one of the best released for this genre – not because of Blazay’s mainstream awareness or even the catchiness, but because of the amazing technical quality that they demonstrate. The sound is awesome, and I would regard a fairly substantial sub-woofer as an essential component for listening to this music, because you’ll want to turn this up very loud. There is something about the way this 4-minute song gels that puts you in a sexy trance that you don’t want to ever come out of!
