Sabrina Petrini recently dropped another track, entitled “Fade Away” ft. Dechard. Her music is some of the best electro-pop and urban mixes I have ever had the privilege of listening to. I discovered her several months ago, when her single “Fucking In Love”, which got a nomination for best pop at the HMMA Awards, became available, and fell in love with her music. This new track definitely met my expectations considering her previous work – from the production quality to her intense vocals and grasp of the structure of lyrical order.
People seem impressed that she’s diverse and well-versed enough to reference just about anyone, in any genre, but if you’re of an extremely serious music head- you’ll even catch the fact that she’s way more than just an impressive vocalist! What I really like about Sabrina Petrini is her lyrical imagery. Even with her ‘simpler’ songs – there’s an emotionally, powerful quality to them. She exudes seductive vulnerability, playfulness and femme fatale all at once. The production paints a very interesting and layered electronic landscape. I’d love to hear what she’d sound like with an actual band behind her. I just haven’t had the chance to see her live yet.
Everything about “Fade Away” ft. Dechard is perfectly crafted into an up-tempo pop-dance track – the synths, the hand-clapping beat, the vocal hooks and the effects. Her music is meant to be heard by everyone, so if you’re still reading this, stop what you’re doing and go buy this track! Sabrina Petrini deserves any and all the recognition she can possibly get from this track. It’s one of those releases that will resonate with you right now, that will cut deep into your mind, but will leave you hungry for a lot more. And if you think she’s done, you’ve got another thing coming. Sabrina is currently completing work in the studio with producer Gabe Lopez (James Brown, Jim Verraros, Universal) and Italian DJ/Producer Dechard, who are co-producing her solo EP expected to be released sometime later this year.
