M$treet Radio: “Amazing” (Prod. DamnKevo) – street-rap orthodoxy!

M$treet Radio is a record label with a premier and versatile sound in the music industry. The duo was founded in 2015 by two brothers Rod and Elijah Chambers, also known as Are $ee & Eli, who serve as CEO’s. M$treet Radio is currently operating independently and based in Barrett Station, Tx. Assisting members to the group are President- Heatwave Johnny , and Managers- Michael Joubert & Jon Erik Eagleton.

Are $ee & Eli, who recently dropped their single “Amazing” (Prod. DamnKevo). While most of the hip-hop coming out nowadays continues to be filled with the same commercialized BS, M$treet Radio step the level up towards reaching new heights.

They don’t raise the roof because of the lyrics, which are the usual sexually orientated raunchy rhymes you’d expect from the genre. It’s their execution that counts. DamnKevo’s spinning beat plays as a base for M$treet Radio’s urgent rapping style.

Being a connoisseur of all things fresh, lavish, and spunky I can tell you that all three of these traits are seldom found in the same artist, let alone the same song. It is a remarkable feat only executable by masters of a craft. “Amazing” (Prod. DamnKevo) is a perfect example of thriving and new age southern hip hop.

From the first verse you are instantly aware that the vocal stylings you are about to experience is unlike anything your ears have ever heard. The delivery is emotional, heartfelt and powerful.

Though explicit, the story telling abilities of these two gentlemen rivals that of the greats.  If you’re tired of the trash rhyming skills you hear on the radio and want a determined vocal style and flow that actually makes you listen, you’re in good company with M$treet Radio. Are $ee & Eli flow like water over this song.

They make you want to get up, get out, and get something for yourself! Snappy and slightly experimental, the track is focused enough to feel comfortable in a sprawl, and it’s a moment when M$treet Radio come fully into themselves.

It is in some ways a distillation of Are $ee & Eli’s approach to their music: confident yet paranoid, fiercely emotional and willing to dispense with the conventional wisdom of street loyalists at the drop of a hat. It’s the kind of lyrical bravery that will win them many fans.

The past few years have ushered in a new breed of would-be visionaries attempting to take hip hop in a thousand new and exciting directions, mostly failing. But M$treet Radio seem to come from a creatively burgeoning underground, that has its roots in what happens on the streets, at the clubs and in their own backyards.

They view radical new directions with distrust, seeing deviance from street-rap orthodoxy as an ideological betrayal. This is what gives collectives like M$treet Radio the extra edge over hip-pop!
