Studying music and piano since she was six; deejaying since she was fourteen and growing up on Latin rhythms, have all blessed her with an electric ear for music. In fact, Magnetie, who has her own – Insomnified – record label, does not like to be pigeonholed into any genre or style.

A few days ago, Magnetie released her latest Progressive House track, “Foul Child”. This is a seriously epic track, with brutal and punchy basslines and amazing soaring melodies you’ve come to expect from Magnetie if you’ve been following her career. The sheer levels and quality behind this music is on a whole different level than anything else I’ve heard from her.

Magnetie has always been very percussive in my opinion, and “Foul Child” carries that on, as well as her usual signature sounds which always include tons of emotion. It doesn’t matter what mood or attitude you’re in, a Magnetie song will almost always make you feel better. “Foul Child” is no exception.

Magnetie caters to all tastes in a song overflowing with monumental break-downs, massive build-ups and anthemic synth lines. In the middle of a watered down, played out EDM music industry on the whole, this is a breath of fresh air.

“Foul Child” definitely holds true to the hallmark sound Magnetie uses across her tracks in varying doses – powerful, full range synth chords, plus driving basslines and rhythms, all incorporated into waves of sound.
